The basic industry of the company mainly consists of real-estate development, road and bridge construction (operation) and coal operation, and there are totally 16 companies, which is another new industry on the basis of the stable development of cashmere industry. Dongda Mongolia King Property Development Co., Ltd mainly engages in real-estate development, industry and civil construction and installment, houses renting, tourism development and its relevant service. With a whole construction area of 330,000 M² and a total investment of RMB1 billion yuan, “Dongda City Plaza” jointly built by this company and Inner Mongolia Water Resource Bureau is a high-rise building group consisting of office, residence, as well as hotel and amusement place. It meets the demand of “high starting point programming, high standard construction and advanced level administration” and the criteria of “elegant, pretty and strong”. This project has been listed as a gift project for the 60th anniversary of the foundation of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and elaborate project of Hohhot government, and it has become the central business district of Inner Mongolia and the representative building of Hohhot. In 2005, the company invested almost RMB 300 million yuan in building Dongda Mongolia King Hotel (four-star) in Dalate Banner of Inner Mongolia, with a total building area of 220,000 M². On the basis of high starting point and high standard, adopting advanced facilities, a multi-functional comprehensive building consisting of hotel, office, conference room, residence, restaurant and entertainment has been set up, which plays a great role in improving the whole image of the city, perfecting the service function of the city and inviting outside investment.
Adopting the model of BT and BOT, the first-phase construction project of new campus of Inner Mongolia University was jointly built by Dongda Real-estate Development Co., Ltd and Inner Mongolia University. This project is located in Inner Mongolia Agriculture School, in Yuquan District of Hohhot, with an approximate planning land area of 1140.4 Mu (one Mu≈667M²).With a total investment of RMB 650 million yuan, the total planning construction area is about 39,450.2 M², planning green rate reaches around 42%, and the whole construction period is approximately one year, starting from August of 2006 and ending in August of 2007. The project comprises 26 buildings such as teaching building, library, Art College, Communication College, student’s dining hall, apartment and other buildings, among which, the 12-story teaching building is 51.3 meters high, and the total building area is 43742 M². In those buildings, four blocks of apartments for college students are brick-concrete structure, and all other buildings are frame structure.
Bridge and Road Construction:
In the model of BOT, the current eight bridge and road construction companies successively invested RMb1.2 billon yuan in building ten roads and five bridges, and they have become outstanding road-construction companies in private corporations of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In 2006, they invested RMB 0.7 billion yuan in building the Baotou Dongxin Yellow River Bridge, the largest bridge of Yellow River. They incessantly extended and broadened original roads, and nowadays a widespread and convenient road net leading everywhere has been formed, which greatly improved the local traffic condition and made a significant contribution for the development of local economy.
